He stands to collect an annual, index to inflation pension of $46,036 immediately following his retirement after the next election, expected to be in the fall of 2015. If he lives until age 90, the average life expectancy of parliamentary pension plan members, he stands to collect a total of $1,123,016 from his parliamentary pension.
